Jorit Kniest

Project A6

My name is Jorit F. Kniest and I am a PhD student at the Institute of Geosciences at the Goethe University Frankfurt. Within the scope of the VeWA-project, I am studying the interaction between the atmosphere and the oceans in the mid-latitudes about 55-33 million years ago (Eocene). For this purpose, I am analysing the shell structure of fossil marine bivalves. In the composition of their shells, they store information about the environment they lived in.

More information about this project can be found on the A6-project page.
